L-eXtreme filter for deep-sky fog photography out of the city
The steady expansion of cities and the associated light pollution have become a growing problem for all astrophotographers. Common solutions to this can be expensive and include the purchase of a monochrome camera, various types of narrowband filters, and a filter wheel. Especially with inexpensive but powerful Newtonian telescopes, two-lens ED refractors or even achromatic lenses, the L-eXtreme filters open up completely new possibilities for taking high-quality astronomical images even within light-polluted cities. L-eXtreme is a 7nm narrow dual bandpass filter that can be used with one-shot color cameras such as DSLRs (digital single-lens reflex cameras), color CMOS and monochrome CCD cameras.
